Dehumanizing of the Armenians

The Armenian Genocide that sweep through on April 24th, 1914, seems so forgotten. The Turkish Government had the mind that if they denied this so called Genocide then later on in time plenty would just forget about it and strike like it never happened. The Turkish soldiers went from city to city and fix to state taking away every single Armenian family and took them away. The finishings of the Turks were to do one thing and one thing only, dehumanise the Armenians. The three main ways they did this were, starvation, making them feel altogether and unwanted, and just killing everyone. In the novel, Forgotten Fire by Adam Bagdasarian, there was one goal and once goal only for the Turks; Kill all of the Armenians.
Mahan, a young Armenian boy was taken hostage during the genocide. Mahan was taken to an Inn with a great amount of cells in it to store all of the volume. This nestling has to realize that now he is away from home and he does not have a family to wait around on him. He will not just wake up with a hot breakfast every morning and giving tall glass of milk: For the first time in my life, I was hungry and there was no food, I was hungry(p) and there was no water.



I knew then as I had not before that the mode was real and that my home and my room and my bed had been a dream(36). Every daytime people eat food and drink water and think back cypher about it; they do not realize that if one day somebody took them away and did not give them food or water they would slowly sliver away into dust. Some people say that you dont know what you got until its gone, and that is one carbon percent true. Along with starvation, loneliness and being alone makes you think about what you dont have, causing you to feel rase more alone.
