Causes and consequences of Martin Luthers break from the Catholic church building.

Martin Luther stands in history as star of those unique men who had changed the world with his ideas. He plays a fundamental role in history since he became the reformer of Catholic church and divided Christianity into two separate churches. His avouch theology causes a Protestant Reformation and it brought many changes on religious society.

One of the main reasons that cause the Catholic Churchs break was the Martin Luthers act of posting The ninety-five Theses on the door of Wittenberg Cathedral in the Holy papist Empire. Luther was a priest in the Catholic faith in 1517 when he posted the Theses. On this theses Luther spelled out the abuses of the Catholic Church; one of those abuses were the selling of indulgences to forgive sinners not their sins, but the secular punishment applied to those sins. People paid the indulgences because they wanted their souls to go from purgatory to heaven. Indulgences became such a big business; they sold it in order to raise money for the reconstruction of St. Peters Cathedral so Luther began to feel worried and guilty rough those souls who had been cheated. He believed people did not need to pay anything to be saved.



He based his beliefs on the Bibles position that says we all are saved because of perfections good will so we have to give nothing because there is one who had paid for us with His death. We do not need to do anything else because freedom and salvation come through faith in Jesus Christ as the only redeemer from sin.
